This is a series of articles dedicated to all the bands and artists that participate on our campaigns over the years. A humble presentation in order to motivate them to keep going.
Based in London, Pilgrims’ Dream is the project of singer-songwriter/producer Rob Ouseley. Influenced by bands such as Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver, Ouseley creates an ‘incredibly harmonious’ (Indie Pop-Ups) sound that ‘really pops in all the right ways’ (Ear To The Ground Music). It has seen him reach the finals of the American Songwriting Awards, and received international radio airplay. His self-produced singles have gained over 100,000 streams on Spotify as well as featuring in the Alexrainbird YouTube compilations which have had millions of views. ‘Redemption’ also saw Pilgrims’ Dream named Richer Unsigned’s ‘Artist Of The Week’ calling him ‘definitely one to watch’ and lauding his ‘unique blend of harmonically rich music’. After a summer of festival appearances, Ouseley played a sold-out headline show in London to kick off 2020. Latest release ‘Life Lives Inside’, a collaboration with critically acclaimed folk singer Flo Perlin, was premiered by Folk Radio, has reached the finals of the Coffee Music Project, and has received support from multiple BBC Radio stations and Mahogany.
Jacob Melton is a Country Music artist and songwriter from Woodbury, Tennessee. Growing up in a musical family, which includes a grandfather that played bass in rock music for 30 years and a 91-year-old great-grandfather who is still “pickin’” bluegrass, his appreciation for musicianship and love of different genres was deeply engrained. Jacob first picked up a guitar at the age of 14 and was writing his own songs by the age of 17. He joined NASI, started making connections in Nashville, and formed his first band at the age of 20. Burning Years went on performing for nearly a decade regionally across the state of Tennessee. They released six singles to ReverbNation during that time span. At the age of 30, Jacob decided to focus more of his efforts into songwriting and perfecting his own original sound. He met studio musician and Tim McGraw’s guitar player, Adam Shoenfeld, and the two immediately found a groove together. Jacob and Adam produced the single “90 Proof and Smooth” which gained attention from established artists and radio stations such as 95.5 KLOS where he was featured on the Frosty, Heidi and Frank Show. This has led the 33-year-old to now embark on his first solo project and the Jacob Melton “Self-Titled” debut EP is scheduled to release April 10th, 2020. The EP has already gained the attention of “The Boot”, who plans to do a world premiere to the song “Live This Lie” upon the album’s release.
Sofia Lynch has done some growing up since her debut recording, and it shows up all over her second release Lately, from the lyrical content to the production and arrangements. The Columbia, South Carolina based singer-songwriter may still only be eighteen years old, but her artistic growth puts her on a whole new level this time around. “I wanted to try something different with the production,” Lynch says, “and I was looking at going a step further in the studio with these songs.” With the assistance of Lexington, SC producer Cory Plaugh and his Plaugh’s House Recording Studio, and Nashville, Tennessee producer Femke Weidema at Liz Rose Studio, Lynch has framed her still confessional relationship songs with an array of sounds that recall 80’s and 90’s productions as well as the more recent Taylor Swift excursions into electro-pop. For her it was a natural progression. Lynch’s writing has also progressed with maturity, she admits.

Gambino was born in Brazoria County, Texas, in the city of Lake Jackson. Residing there for ten years before moving to Angleton, TX. At the age of 17 and already playing the guitar and singing for about a year at this time, Gambino started to play and sing in his church Youth Group while leading worship. He then started to attend Brazosport College, Richwood in 2004, but later dropped out to start his eight year enlistment term with the U.S. Navy, where he served one tour in Iraq as a United States Seabee with NMCB (Naval Mobile Construction Battalion) Twenty Eight in 2007. When faced with the decision to re-enlist or to leave the Navy, Gambino was very passionate about his music and believed that he would go somewhere with it. A record label out of Oklahoma helped him make his decision when they called him with a record deal to sign, several months after submitting the original, “Your Love Runs Deep” from the album “Shadows” by Shattered Silence (released Feb 4th, 2014). Gambino then left the Navy to pursue his career in music, January of 2013. In 2017, Gambino left Shattered Silence as the lead vocalist/front man and embarked on a journey as a soloist. Since then, he has released his most recent project “Journey Within My Soul” worldwide.
